We Remember Them

November 6, 2025

Our Lady of the Angels Chapel at Mt. Assisi Place was filled with family and friends on November 6, for our 2025 Memorial Service. With prayers, hymns and candlelight, we lovingly remembered 11 Residents we have lost over the past year. Sister Jeanne Marie Ulica led the service, along with Sisters Lorita Kristufek (music minister) and Pat Mahoney (cantor).

Scripture passages were read by Karen Vevers (activities) and Dana Funk (Resident). A representative from each family carried a candle in short procession to a table near the altar. As chimes played, the candles were slowly extinguished, symbolizing our acceptance that our loved ones are now with God. A small reception followed.

Sisters Anece Salay and Georgette Dublino embrace the sister-in-law of Sister Bernadine Marie Stemnock.

Sister Barbara Ann Lengvarsky (seated) shares a special moment with Kathy Wolak, daughter of longtime Resident Eileen Terjak.

During the reception that followed, Resident Maryann McClain (left) enjoys chatting with the granddaughter of longtime Antonia Hall Resident Betty Donovan.
