Engaging Activities

Socialization and interaction with other people are important to everyone's enjoyment of life. Being able to engage in activities that a person enjoys contributes to his or her quality of life.

At Mt. Assisi Place, we offer a diverse schedule of daily activities intended to nurture residents’ physical, mental and spiritual health. Our staff, residents’ family members, volunteers, community organizations, and other residents all play an active role in enhancing an individual's daily life through activities such as physical exercise, Bible study, chair yoga, Catholic Mass, crafts, current events discussions, book club, special interest clubs, Bingo, sing-alongs, and performances by entertainment groups.

Residents participate according to their own wishes. In fact, Mt. Assisi Place Residents find that daily interactions and discussions with their peers — at meals, in our lounges, on our grounds — are great sources of satisfaction and socialization.

We also host several events throughout the year with our Residents’ families in mind. Information about our Holiday Party, Mother’s Day Social, Father’s Day Pizza Luncheon, Memorial Service and Summer Picnic are shared with Residents and families in a timely fashion so that you may plan to join us (once COVID restrictions are lifted).
