I Love Lucy Film Festival

  • Marian Hall 3rd-Floor Lounge (map)

Did you know that October 15 is I Love Lucy Day? It marks the date that show premiered in 1951. We will celebrate with laughter while enjoying the three most famous episodes of the iconic television series:

  • Switching Jobs (24 minutes) — S2 E1: After Ricky and Fred get upset about the girls’ spending, Lucy and Ethel go to work in a candy factory while the boys do the housework. Originally aired September 15, 1952.

  • Lucy’s Italian Movie (25 minutes) — S5 E23: Lucy soaks up plenty of local color when she tramples grapes to get into the mood for a role in an Italian movie. Originally aired April 16, 1956.

  • Lucy Does a TV Commercial (24 minutes) — S1 E30: Lucy angles her way onto Ricky’s special as the show’s pitch girl. She advertises a medicine called “Vitameatavegamin.” Originally aired May 12, 1952.

The fun begins at 10 a.m. in the Marian Hall 3rd-Floor Lounge. Bring your funny bone.
