Christian School Bringing
Pittsburgh Campus to MAP

March 8, 2024

We are pleased to announce that The Saint Constantine School — an Orthodox Christian school for students in kindergarten through 12th grade — will establish a Pittsburgh-area campus on our grounds this year, with plans to welcome students for the 2024-2025 school term this fall.

The school will occupy the first floor of the former convent building, as well as the first and second floors of the former Mount Assisi Academy high school building. Over the coming months, renovations to these areas will be underway, including establishing dedicated entrances that will ensure the comfort and security of our Residents and the school’s students.

Established in Houston in 2016, Saint Constantine provides a rigorous, engaging education so that students grow in virtue, wisdom and joy. The average class size is 12 with a 9-to-1 faculty-to-student ratio. Enrollment for the fall is already underway.

The Pittsburgh school will be Saint Constantine’s first branch campus. With focus on classical, Christian education, the program has deep appreciation for the history and heritage of our buildings and for the religious environment that our Residents hold dear. The school’s presence will not impact the daily lives of our Residents, as students and faculty will come and go through dedicated entrances. Still, these young people will bring a new vibrant energy to our complex, along with unique opportunities for intergenerational service projects and events.

We ask for your patience and cooperation as we move some of our administration functions to new office locations, reconfigure storage spaces, and undertake important physical work in our buildings. We will make every effort to communicate with you throughout the process.
