A Splash of Spring Color
April 2, 2026
There are certain days throughout the year that truly stand out here at Mt. Assisi Place. Easter Egg Day is surely one of them, as the tradition of coloring eggs brings out the child still very much alive in each of our Residents. This year, that special day was April 2, when Residents in both Antonia and Marian Halls dyed eggs and enjoyed each other’s company, against a backdrop of spring sunshine streaming in through the surrounding windows. “I just love this day,” says Karen Vevers, activities director. “They always have so much fun.” The bright colors and brilliant smiles depicted in the photo gallery below show how a timeless holiday tradition — one that our Residents once shared with their own children — still evokes fond memories and youthful enthusiasm.
