Mardi Gras Mischief

We had a blast on Fat Tuesday with masks, beads, music, dancing and donuts — all the ingredients of a fun-filled Mardi Gras celebration. Our Activities team created a colorful, celebratory atmosphere over lunch, with Karen Vevers and Sam Rice masquerading as Marie Antoinette and Louis XIV. They were joined by Elaine Chegas, server Carolyn Hunter and Resident Dana Funk in leading our Residents in The Chicken Dance and The Macarena. Our friends at Three Oaks Hospice made the celebration that much sweeter with some Steel City trivia and delicious donuts from Mac’s Donut Shop in Aliquippa. The so-called icing on the cake was a parade around the dining room, as everyone clapped along to When the Saints Go Marching In.
